Bake Sale Update: Baked goods for the benefit can be dropped off at the elementary school between Wednesday, May 1st and Thursday, May 2nd by 5 PM. The bake sale opens at 5:30 PM and will run up until the concert begins at 7 PM. The bake sale will re-open for 30 minutes after the concert as well. :)


Just a reminder that Midkota Kindergarten Screening will be this Friday, April 26th at the elementary from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Pre-school students may be dropped off at their classroom and picked up at the end. The Assessment Team usually likes to briefly speak with parents at the end, so be sure to touch base when you pick up your child. :)

Governor Declares “Finish the FAFSA Week”
April 21-27 has been proclaimed “Finish the FAFSA Week” through a proclamation by Governor Doug Burgum. Included is a copy of the Governor’s proclamation and a flyer . The Bank of North Dakota’s Finish the FAFSA web page, along with a series of short videos from the Bank of North Dakota’s FAFSA Playlist is also included. Questions regarding the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be directed to the North Dakota University System office at 701-328-2906 or ndfinaid@ndus.edu.


Help us get the word out! Bake Sale on May 2nd before and after the Elementary Spring Concert hosted by the Midkota PTA and Elementary teachers. All proceeds go to the Treyvon Watkins Benefit Fund. Please see the poster for more details.


In summer 2024, North Dakota Department of Public Instruction will launch Summer EBT, a new grocery benefits program that provides families $120 for each eligible school-aged child to buy groceries when school is out. Summer is a time when many children lose the free and reduced-price meals they get at school, and when households might need a little extra help putting meals on the table. Most families will get these benefits automatically, but some parents will need to apply. See below for more information.


The elementary girls volleyball teams will head over to Kensal on Saturday, April 20 for a day of tournament action. Fifth graders will start their morning off at 9am against Pingree-Buchanan and the Sixth graders will start at 11am against Pingree-Buchanan as well. See below for more details. Track meet scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16th, has been cancelled due to the forecasted rain.

Congratulations to the Midkota Speech Team on their 2nd Place Regional finish with a total of 62 points! We are SO proud of you!
Individual results are as follows:
Grandin Black took 3rd in Inform and 3rd in Radio.
Amy Ramsey placed 2nd in EPR and 2nd in Storytelling, Double Qualifying for State!
Haylie Spickler took 3rd in Humorous and 2nd in Serious Duo, State Qualifying!
Kelsey Johnson took 2nd in Serious Duo and was Regional Champ in Humorous, Double Qualifying!
State Competition is April 27th in Mandan.



If your child was scheduled for an immunization yesterday and did not receive it, Foster County Health will be back to the high school on Wednesday, April 24th to administer. If you have any questions, please call Foster County Health at 652-3087.
