Last day of school will be on Thursday, May 18, this will be a full day, we will not be getting out early. Busses will run as usual. A Tutor/PD Day will be held on May 19 for any students needing end of the year help. Graduation will be on Saturday, May 20 at 2pm in the MHS gym. Elementary Track Day is on! After an uncertain spring, we are brave enough to try for a Track Day on Wednesday, May 17th beginning at 12:45 PM. Students will move through the event stations with their group, and we plan to be done at approximately 2:45 PM. We will have a mixture of outside and inside events as we navigate our way around mud. An informational sheet should have come home with your student Wednesday or Thursday evening detailing what color they should wear for their group. If the weather surprises us, our back-up day is May 18th.

The Midkota 1st Grade and Miss Hoyt celebrated Friday by camping in their classroom today. Such fun!
Foster County Health will be conducting a youth survey on Wednesday, May 10. A parent informtion letter and permission form will be sent home with your grade 7-12 student today. Please read, fill out and return to the HS office by Wednesday, May 10. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office at 785-2126.
The first week of May is Staff Appreciation Week at Midkota. It is a week meant to say THANK YOU to the staff at Midkota who come each day to school eager to help our students learn and grow as individuals to become critical thinkers in this ever-changing world.
Rooms need to be cleaned, a late night leak in a roof needs to be addressed, meals need to be prepped for, a last-minute money box and pamphlets need to be prepared, and lessons need to be revised and thoughtfully planned in addition to late night grading. The listed are just some of many, many more duties that often occur after school hours that staff encounter. Education does not end at the 3:14 bell! Midkota is blessed to have dedicated staff that step up to the plate when needs arise to get the job done.
If you see any Midkota staff, I encourage you to tell them "Thank You" for their dedication to the students and families of Midkota. Each and every one of the staff at Midkota has an important role.
