The 2026 North Dakota Class B District 3 Girls Basketball Tournament will be played on Friday, February 13th, Saturday, February 14th, and Monday, February 16th. All tournament games will be played at Park River Area High School Gymnasium.

Girls District 3 Tournament Apparel!

Our 9th grade class had an exciting Sphero Battle Bot Competition!
Students put their coding and problem-solving skills to the test as they designed, programmed, and battled their bots in head-to-head challenges. It was awesome to see creativity and perseverance in action! Congrats, Toby, for winning the most battles!

Today Midkota Elementary kicked of their Math Olympics with a ceremonial "torch lighting" as multi-grade level groups built simulated torches out of pattern blocks. During the month of February, elementary teachers have several building-wide events planned to promote the love of math. :)

Midkota Elementary will host an Early Childhood Development Screening event on Monday, February 23rd for 3 to 5 year olds. Parents of this year's PK class can be on the lookout for a letter in the mail later this week.

KDAK will be streaming the Varsity and JV boys games tonight against Carrington in Kensal.

Tonight's BBB game will be in Kensal starting at 3:30pm with the 7th grade followed by the 8th, JV and Varsity. Come out and cheer our boys on! The Midkota Speech Team competed with 18 other schools at the Northern Cass tournament on Saturday, February 7th. Individual results are as follows:
Heidi Ramsey - Top Novice in Serious and Top Novice in Dramatic
Grandin Black - 3rd in Inform and 2nd in Radio Broadcasting.

Come cheer on our Titan boys tomorrow afternoon in Glenfield when they play New Rockford-Sheyenne starting at 1pm with the 7th grade followed by the 8th grade, C squad, JV and Varsity. Hope to see you there! Go Titans!

Come help us cheer on our GBB team and celebrate our Seniors in Glenfield tonight as they take on Maple River. Action will start at 4:30pm with the C squad followed by the JV and Varsity. We will recognize our Seniors and their parents right after the JV game is concluded.

Our girls and boys basketball teams are in action today! The boys will travel to Hatton with JH action starting at 4pm in the small gym with the 7th grade followed by the 8th grade. JV action will start at 5:30pm in the main gym followed by the Varsity.

The Midkota Speech team competed at their season opener in Central Valley on Saturday, January 31st. Individual Results are as follows:
Heidi Ramsey placed 6th in Serious and 5th in Dramatic
Amy Ramsey placed 6th in Persuade and 7th in Extemporaneous Programmed Reading
Grandin Black placed 2nd in Inform and 1st in Radio Broadcasting

The Snowball dance scheduled for tonight at Midkota High School has been postponed due to weather.

Midkota Elementary Students of the Month for both December and January were recognized today at our Kindness Assembly.

During December the character trait that we focused on was Resilience. Students that were recognized for exemplifying this trait were Easton Hoffman for grades K-3 and Leah Edlund for grades 4-6.
In January, we focused on Kindness. Our K-3 student was Emily Anderson and our 4-6 student was Siennah Twedt. Congratulations everyone! We are SO proud of you!
Also during our assembly, Midkota teachers turned our classroom kindness chains into a giant heart representing all of the kindness we've put into practice this week. The sixth grade class helped us decide what was kind or unkind behavior.
At the end of the day, the Kindness Cart made a trip around the school. :)

It's a busy day for Titan Basketball! Our Lady Titans will be traveling to Cavalier today for JH & Varsity action starting at 5pm. Our boys will be at home in Cooperstown playing Larimore starting at 4:30pm with the JH followed by the JV and Varsity. Good luck to all teams!

The BBB games next week Tuesday, February 3 against Hatton/Northwood will be in Hatton NOT Northwood as originally scheduled. Games will be played in the following order:

7th - 4:00(small gym)
8th - 5:00(small gym)
JV - 5:30(main gym)
Varsity - 7:00(main gym)
